Nurse Aide & Phlebotomy Program

Mission

To provide an opportunity to learn holistic health principles and practical nursing skills necessary to minster to the growing needs of worldwide healthcare.

This program is for individuals:
  • Seeking entry-level clinical skills to work in hospitals, nursing homes, home health care, assisted living facilities, adult day care, physician’s office, health clinics, mental health facilities, lifestyle centers, prisons, rehab centers, hospices, and diagnostic labs. etc.
  • Who appreciates a faith-based approach to practice.
  • Who appreciate studying on a beautiful campus, nestled amidst scenic trails, lakes, and a tranquil river.

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Students will be provided an opportunity to implement knowledge and practical holistic skills in a changing healthcare system.

  • Students who successfully complete the course of study will have had classroom, and laboratory training, and experience to assist themselves and others to maintain and improve health outcomes.

  • Students will receive a certificate of completion upon successfully completing the course.

Dates

This practical health course designed with holistic principles will cover the basic nursing knowledge and clinical skills required to take the state CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) licensure exam. A biblical approach to personal well-being is an integral part of this course, as is the application of health principles for both patients and students.

Class instruction: Mon – Thu (4 days/week) 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (6 weeks)

Clinical hours: Five 8-hour Sundays, TBA

This course is designed to offer both theory and practical applications in the science of phlebotomy. Students will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge base and clinical experience in this specialized field while maintaining Christian values. Classroom training and laboratory experience will equip students to prepare for the initial phlebotomy certification process. The on-campus and off-campus labs will further promote professional development.
