Classes:
TONY FUENTES |
Irrigation: We will be looking at the different systems of irrigation depending on the source of water and the land where you are working. |
Greenhouses: There are many kinds of greenhouses. We will be showing the benefits of planting in them—how we can produce food before and after the regular season, and how we can work our way around different types of weather with efficiency. |
Seedlings & Transplanting: When you start your seedlings on time and then transplant them, you have about a 99% chance for the plants to grow safe and faster. You are some weeks in front of the frost day, and you can have some of the produce before your neighbors. |
Marketing: To sell your produce is one of the harder parts in the beginning. We will be talking about different ideas as to how you can sell your produce and find a sustainable way of living. |
Microgreens: One of the easier ways to start working with plants without a greenhouse or big piece of land. They can grow easily, and you can eat or sell them after 8 to 15 days. |
FRANKO OLAK |
Planification & Disposition: The secret in a great agriculture project is the planification. We need to find out which materials, seeds, and nutrients, and how much money and time, will be necessary to get great results. When is the best time for each kind of produce and why is it so important for planting what we need to eat or sell? Am I able to take care of everything planted? And there are more things you need to think about before you start. Having the right attitude will be a blessing every single day when you are working with your plants. |
IVONNE RESTREPO |
Agriculture & Mental Health: The effect of the physical activity and productivity combined is a powerful agent for your mental health. From the scientific and biblical point of view, we will emerge into the amazing science of the mind as created by God. |
BETSY MAYER |
Tips & Techniques to Preserve the Harvest (Parts 1 & 2): In climates where food does not grow all year long or with seasonal crops, knowing how to preserve food to use later is vital. This presentation will provide you with practical ideas on how to can, freeze, and dehydrate, and which method is best for each food item. |
ARMANDO LOPEZ |
Organic Pest Control: One of the biggest challenges in organic agriculture is to keep all mammals and insects away from your plants. We will show a lot of different methods. |
Ways of Fertilization: Soil requires a lot of nutrients in the production of good food. Conventional agriculture uses all kinds of chemicals that are so injurious to our health. We will show many different healthy ways to supply nutrients to your soil. |

Young people under 18 must have an adult take responsibility for their safety and behavior. Swimming or playing in the lakes and ponds is prohibited. Bicycles and skateboards are prohibited. This is for everyone’s safety.
