Description

The program certifies young ladies as childbirth educators (CEs) and/or doulas. This comprehensive course, taught from a Christian perspective, covers the aspects of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.

Topics range from pregnancy nutrition and fitness, labor techniques and newborn care, to postpartum adjustment and much more.

The course aims to prepare the student not just to teach, but to design her own childbirth education classes, along with developing essential skills necessary to become a professional doula.

This course material could also prove invaluable to the medical missionary who finds herself in an emergency childbirth situation.

Childbirth Education / Doula Fee Schedule

Here are the fees for the Childbirth Education and Doula classes, May 6–May 30, 2019, at Hartland College.

Classes Only

The total fee for classes is $920, which includes the workbook and handouts.

This fee must be paid by April 6, 2019. A late charge of $50 will be added if payment is received after April 6. The total fee must be paid before classes begin.

Housing

For those who desire to stay on the campus, the following three options are available:

  • Cabins – These are rustic, but an option for those who want to save money. $5 per night or $125 total.
  • Staff home or dormitory – Enjoy a room in one of the Hartland staff homes or women’s dorm. $15 per night or $375 total.
  • Lifestyle Center – These are the newly remodeled rooms at the Lifestyle Center. Two people per room. $25 per night or $625 total per person.
Meals

The meal package for the entire 4 weeks is $420. Contact Hartland College for individual meal prices.
