Biography
Pattie Barnes is a certified professional midwife, licensed midwife in the state of Virginia, retired EMT, certified neonatal resuscitator, and CPR instructor. She has been a practicing midwife and medical missionary for the past 30 years. She is both a midwifery and childbirth educator, having also lectured at various Christian colleges and institutions throughout the United States. She has appeared internationally on the 3ABN television network. She is now director of the midwifery program for Hartland College.

Biography
Betsy Mayer (RN, BS, and certified vocal coach) is a founding faculty member of Hartland College. Her formal training is in the health sciences with a minor in secondary education. She also did graduate studies in management. For over 30 years, however, she has been working in publications management and music education (vocal and choral). She helped pioneer our Music Department, campus choir, touring choir (Three Angels’ Chorale), and our subscription magazine, Last Generation. She also assisted in developing Hartland’s publications management and media majors. When Betsy is not working, she enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, cooking, traveling, serving her local church, and staying connected with her many student friends around the world!

Biography
Jody Knowlton, RN, BSN started her nursing career as a combat medic in the US Army. After serving as an enlisted member, she enrolled in nursing school at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. Upon graduating in 1986, she returned to the US Army as an officer in the Army Nurse Corps. She has experienced a wide variety of nursing specialties, including critical care, hospice, and nursing educator. After 42 years of healthcare experience, she joined Hartland Wellness and Cancer Care Center as our full-time RN. Jody is dedicated to helping health guests with chronic illnesses and cancer to be healed naturally, through God’s eight natural laws of health.

Biography
Kevin Wahl graduated from Hartland College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Pastoral Evangelism. Since then, he has served as an editor, writer, prison ministry volunteer, and Bible instructor. He enjoys biblical research, reading, listening to music, and going for walks. Kevin is currently our editor of Hartland Ministry Report and Distance Education Coordinator.
