THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED RIGHT NOW!
I felt like the Lord was delaying me at some businesses I canvassed, and I wasn’t sure why. I finished the businesses and began canvassing parking lots. Shortly thereafter, I felt impressed to approach a young lady who seemed to be in a hurry. I had hardly begun canvassing her when she saw the book in my hand and exclaimed, “Oh! In Search of Peace! This is exactly what I need right now! Thank you so much!” She explained that her mom was battling cancer and neither of them had peace about it. Then I was blessed to be able to speak words of hope and comfort to her. After I prayed with her, she tearfully said “Thank you” over and over and hugged me. I vividly remember turning away and nearly coming to tears myself. Now I know, God delayed me so I would meet that lady. Praise the Lord for setting up divine appointments for us!
SORRY, I’M NOT INTERESTED!
One day, I met a lady named Malinda. She had amazing curls, and we clicked instantly and started talking about her curls. Then I told her what I was doing, and she changed and said she wasn’t interested because she did not have a budget to donate. But God has a way of using us for His glory. I showed her In Search of Peace (Steps to Christ) again. When she saw it, she changed her mind and asked me what other books I had. In the end, I left Malinda with The Ministry of Healing, The Great Controversy, and Steps to Christ!
TOO SCARED TO STOP!
While walking down a street, I saw a big Baptist church. I was scared to approach the church, so I skipped it and kept going. Not much later, I reached this house where the members of that church were having a meal together. A lively chat was going on inside, so I asked a lady if I could talk to one of them. Their pastor and his friend came out. The pastor was not interested, but his friend was interested in The Desire of Ages and The Great Controversy. Then we prayed and departed. I believe this was a divine appointment because, with those books, the life of that man and the whole church can be changed. I am also grateful that despite my fears, the Lord used me
