“I had the most wonderful experience during my first stay at Hartland, and I’ve been thinking about it for the last two years,” Elizabeth says. “I was so thankful to find out that you had reopened after closing for COVID.”
Elizabeth first came to a session in 2016 and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the small lifestyle center. She has just completed the June 2020 session in the renovated, purpose-built one. She loved it!
“The kitchen is beautiful, I love having my own private bathroom, and the hydro room is wonderful. These stairs are easier to climb, and if I need it, there’s an elevator. But the best part of the old program is still here—the kind, loving, Christlike spirit of the staff. I’m treated like royalty! I feel like I’m in a little piece of heaven. I just wish I could come once a month!”
COVID-19 shut down our lifestyle sessions for a while, but our reopening came at just the right time for Elizabeth.
“Coming here was the best medicine for me because I was lonely. I live alone, and for a couple of months I could only see my family from a distance. On top of that, I was sick from my chronic illness, and I really needed the treatments that I get here.”

“I’m walking more than I have in several years. And the staircase, which is 20 steps—I do that 3 to 5 times a day. That’s how improved I am since I’ve been here! I’ve had help with my body, my mind, and my spiritual life. I love the worship times in the morning and evening with inspirational music and Bible study. I feel so blessed.”
Elizabeth plans to continue the treatments at home, and she stays in contact with the new friends she made here, both staff and students.
“Hartland has made a big difference in my life. I would say it’s the best investment you can make, to come here. The entire experience has been a blessing, and I recommend it highly. I’m so sad to be going home, and I’m already looking forward to my next stay!”
