If there is one area in our lives where I believe we should think “out of the box,” it is in reaching souls for the Lord.
Not everyone can be reached through traditional evangelistic series or door-to-door outreach.
I think of some Catholic friends of mine whom I met at Whole Foods Market. After hearing me offer prayer for the meal at their home a few times, the husband asked, “Can I pray for the meal as well? I haven’t prayed in years.”
As we approach the holiday season, people will be especially receptive to the gospel. A few years ago, while helping at a ministry in Sweden called Stenshult, we went caroling for Christmas. We prepared baskets with freshly baked bread and cookies, and went around our neighborhood singing Swedish carols at each door. It was very cold outside, but we were warmly received.
In this issue we have beautiful stories from our Lord, Send Me projects where young people are making a difference in people’s lives by doing such things as teaching at a high school and giving health lectures.
We hope you are encouraged by these simple methods and challenged to make a difference however you can, wherever you live.
