Charles Cleveland Spring Convocation SpeakerCharles Cleveland gave his life to God as a young man in the US Navy and later became a Seventh-day Adventist pastor. Early in his Christian experience he felt a keen interest in medical missionary work. Eventually this led him into full-time self-supporting work, serving as administrator of several lifestyle centers. When the Berlin Wall fell, his work shifted to Western and Eastern Europe, where he helped establish a number of medical missionary schools and lifestyle centers. Today he is president of Health Education Resources, designing and distributing health expo banners and other health education materials around the world.

Lee Wellard Spring Convocation SpeakerLee Wellard graduate of Wildwood’s Institute of Medical Ministry, has a passion for teaching health in an attractive, engaging way. He has traveled extensively giving health lectures in churches as well as on 3ABN and other TV and radio networks. Lee has also completed training as a health practitioner in natural remedies and as a master herbalist. He is now working towards his PhD in naturopathy.

On-Campus Lodging

Our on-campus lodging is very limited. Therefore, guests MUST call ahead and secure lodging with a deposit equal to the first night’s fee. First night’s deposits are nonrefundable after a setted date. Guests must provide their own bedding and towels. To secure your lodging contact the events coordinator at 540-672-1996 ext 232.

Lifestyle Center. The rooms have both air conditioning and heat. There are two rooms that are handicap accessible with queen beds, the other rooms have double beds. The bathrooms are shared. It is $50 per night per room.

RV Site has water and electricity. It is $20 per night.

Dorm Room & Staff Homes. The rooms in the respective male and female dormitories are shared with up to 3 persons per room when available. The bathroom is also shared. It is $15 per night per person.

Rustic Cabin. The cabins are simple one-room bunk houses which accommodates up to 10 people. It has a ceiling fan, electricity, and heat for the cold nights. It is $5 per night per person.

Rustic Tent Site is $20 per night for sites with water and electricity and $10 per night for sites without water and electricity (a shower house is provided for those in cabins and tents).

Meal Tickets

Tickets are required for all meals and are nonrefundable. Purchase tickets at the Registration Desk during registration hours or at the cafeteria during mealtimes, except during the Sabbath. If you have food allergies, be aware that our meals are vegan but are prepared with nuts, nonirritating spices, herbs, and gluten. We cannot cater to special diets.

* An incentive will be offered for guests who register early for meals (before onsite registration begins). They will be charged $8. However, meals purchased on the day of on-site registration and after the event has started will be $10. Children meals will equally increase from $6 to $8.

** Children under age 5 are free with adult meal purchase.

Children / Youth Programs

We offer programs for children and youth. Young people under 18 must have an adult take responsibility for their safety and behavior. Swimming, or playing in the lakes and ponds is prohibited. Bicycles and skateboards are prohibited. This is for everyone’s safety.

Q. Can I bring my pet?

Please clean up after them. Pets should be kept quiet and not allowed to roam freely. Pets are not allowed in any campus building.

 

Q. Will my valuables be safe?

Keep valuables locked in your car and not in your room. Hartland is NOT LIABLE for lost or stolen goods.

 

Q. Is there a dress code?

Remember that we are here to seek the Lord. Let us show reverence and respect in our appearance.

 

Q. Can I do my own cooking?

Cooking or using electrical cooking appliances in any room on campus is prohibited by law. Open camp fires are not allowed, however camping stoves are acceptable for use in the Tent / RV site areas.

 

Q. When will the bookstore be open?

Hartland Publications offers a variety of books, CDs and DVDs.

From the North: Take Hwy 15 south from Culpeper for approximately 10 miles. Turn left on Rte 614 (Locust Dale Rd). Hartland is 1.25 miles on the left.

From the South: Take Hwy 29 north from Charlottesville for approximately 25 miles. Turn right on Hwy 230 east for approximately 10 miles until it ends at Hwy 15. Turn left on Hwy 15 north. Go approximately 4 miles. Turn right on Rte 614 (Locust Dale Rd). Hartland is 1.25 miles on the left.
