A musical journey celebrating three centuries of our region’s religious heritage.
Listen to hymns sung by the Germans who first settled this region, psalms sung by the first English settlers, lyrics penned by local pastor and patriot John Leland, who worked with James Madison to secure a constitutional separation of church and state, the spirituals of slaves who cried out to God in their bondage, anthems that stirred our national soul during the Civil War, as well as music that expresses Christian faith today.
A journey into the hearts and minds of our spiritual forefathers…
Brought to you by the combined choirs of Hartland College, the Orange Baptist Church, and community guests.
