Christian Elementary Education

Students are prepared to be competent teachers for Christian elementary schools. Principles of child development, curricular content, instructional methodology, and educational leadership are explored and evaluated. Opportunities are required throughout the program for synthesis and direct application of educational strategies within varied classroom settings. Students are trained to teach in single and multi-grade settings, to implement work-study and witnessing programs, to initiate and conduct home schools, to utilize multi-grade elementary school units, and to model Christian philosophy and conduct.

Christian Secondary Education

Individuals are prepared to serve as effective, Spirit-filled teachers in Christian academies and high schools. Principles of human development, curricular content, instructional methodology, and educational leadership are explored and evaluated. Varied opportunities are provided throughout the program for synthesis and direct application of educational strategies. Each student chooses two areas of specialization. Individuals who complete this course will be qualified to teach in their areas of specialization at the secondary level, to implement work-study and witnessing programs, to exert educational leadership, and to model Christian philosophy and conduct.
