Chuck Holtry is the director of AFCOE. His many years of experience as a classroom teacher and on the road as an Amazing Facts evangelist bring a wealth of inspiration and information to aspiring gospel workers seeking real-world training at AFCOE. Chuck thoroughly enjoys teaching and helping students prepare for, execute, and follow-up a successful evangelistic campaign.

Carissa McSherry is the assistant director at AFCOE. She has tremendous, extensive experience as a Bible worker, youth leader, foreign missionary, and as a speaker for multiple evangelistic series. She has also served as a social worker and in family and troubled-teen counseling. Along with a special passion for reaching young people and pointing them to Christ, Carissa enjoys sharing the gospel in every aspect of life and helping others to experience the joy of soul-winning.

On-Campus Lodging
Our on-campus lodging is very limited. Therefore, guests MUST call ahead and secure lodging with a deposit equal to the first night’s fee. First night’s deposits are nonrefundable after March 23, 2015. Guest reserving Lifestyle Education Center rooms must make a deposit equivalent to the full length of stay for the event. Guests must provide their own bedding and towels. To secure your lodging, contact the events coordinator at 540-672-1996 ext 232.

Lifestyle Education Center The rooms have both air conditioning and heat. There are two rooms that are handicap accessible with queen beds, the other rooms have double beds. The bathrooms are shared. It is $50 per night per room. There can be a maximum of four people in each room. All bathrooms are shared between adjacent room, excluding Hydro and handicap rooms. Due to limited space and a high demand for rooms, we ask that guests who wish to reserve this space confirm and make down payment for their rooms for the entire event.

RV Site Has water and electricity. It is $20 per night.

Dorm Room The rooms in the respective male and female dormitories are shared with up to 3 persons per room when available. The bathroom is also shared. It is $15 per night per person.

Rustic Cabin The cabins are simple one-room bunk houses which accommodate up to 10 people. It has a ceiling fan, electricity, and heat for the cold nights. It is $5 per night per person.

$10 per night for sites without water and electricity
(A shower house is provided for those in cabins and tents.)

Registration is 5:00PM-6:30PM on Friday, April 24, 2015, in the Conference Center foyer. Please check in here to confirm accommodations (meals and lodging).

Meals (breakfast and lunch only)
Adults $8.00
Children $6.00 (ages 5 – 12) Younger children are free with adult meal purchase.
Tickets are required for all meals and are nonrefundable. Pre-order tickets by calling 540-672-1996 ext 232. If you have not purchased the tickets beforehand, you can do so at registration, or at the cafeteria during mealtimes. Tickets must be purchased before Sabbath. No tickets will be provided during the Sabbath hours. We serve vegan meals, which may be prepared with nuts, nonirritating spices, herbs, and gluten. We cannot cater to special diets.

Children/Youth
We offer programs for children and youth. Young people under 18 must have an adult take responsibility for their safety and behavior. Swimming or playing in the lakes and ponds is prohibited. Bicycles and skateboards are prohibited. This is for everyone’s safety.

Question and Answers

Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: Pets should be kept quiet and not allowed to roam freely. Pets are not allowed in any campus building. A special pet patch is located near the camping area. Please clean up after them.

Q: Will my valuables be safe?
A: Keep valuables locked in your car and not in your room. Hartland is NOT LIABLE for lost or stolen goods.

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Remember that we are here to seek the Lord. Let us show reverence and respect in our appearance. Shorts and tank tops are not appropriate for males or females. Ladies, please refrain from wearing miniskirts, pants of all sorts, plunging necklines, see-through fabrics, or any other immodest apparel.

Q: Can I do my own cooking?
A: Cooking or using electrical cooking appliances in any room on campus is prohibited by law. Open campfires are not allowed, however camping stoves are acceptable for use in the tent/RV site areas.

Q: When will the bookstore be open?
A: Hartland Publications offers a variety of books, CDs, and DVDs. Store hours: Tues–Thur: 9 AM–5 PM, Fri 9 AM–2 PM, Sat: Sundown–10 PM, Sun: 9 AM–2 PM

After making some life changing decisions 20 years ago, Edwin and Maria and their growing family began to experience God’s transforming power in their lives. They now engage with their adult children, Sean, Joshua, and Natasha in their family ministry, “Pathway of Promise.” For the past 8 years they’ve traveled around the world,sharing their testimony and speaking on the subjects of practical Christianity, marriage and the family.

Youth, Do You Dare commits to be the spark The Holy Spirit uses to help light the fire for service in young people’s lives through preaching and witnessing. We especially want to urge young people to attend “The Practical Gospel.” Please make this special event known to all youth with whom you come in contact. Christ is coming, and our youth want to be that army that will carry the message of a soon-coming Savior to the whole world!

Scott Ritsema is an educator, writer, and speaker with a passion for present truth.  Scott currently presents seminar material to churches and other gatherings on topics such as media, parenting, education, and sexuality.  His seminars have recently been featured at a number of GYC and ASI conventions, as well as satellite TV and radio.  Scott lives in Michigan with his wife, Cami, and two boys, Levi and Silas.

Issac Olatunji Jr. a 1994 graduate of Hartland College, teaches religion and theology at Oakwood University. He is also speaker/director of Project Latter Rain Ministries, specializing in evangelism, leadership development, and health education. Through revival and reformation, he seeks to prepare God’s people to meet Jesus when He comes.

On-campus lodging
Our on-campus lodging is very limited. Therefore, guests MUST call ahead and secure lodging with a deposit equal to the first night’s fee. First night’s deposits are nonrefundable after OCTOBER 17TH,2014. Guest reserving Lifestyle Center Rooms must make a deposit equivalent to the full length of stay for the event. Guests must provide their own bedding and towels. To secure your lodging contact the events coordinator at 540-672-1996 ext 232.

Lifestyle Center The rooms have both air conditioning and heat. There are two rooms that are handicap accessible with queen beds, the other rooms have double beds. The bathrooms are shared. It is $50 per night per room. There can be a maximum of four people in each room. All bathrooms are shared between adjacent room, excluding Hydro and handicap rooms. Due to limited space and a high demand for rooms, we ask that guest who wish to reserve this space confirm and make down payment for their rooms for the entire event.

RV Site Has water and electricity. It is $20 per night.

Dorm Room The rooms in the respective male and female dormitories are shared with up to 3 persons per room when available. The bathroom is also shared. It is $15 per night per person.

Rustic Cabin The cabins are simple one-room bunk houses which accommodates up to 10 people. It has a ceiling fan, electricity, and heat for the cold nights. It is $5 per night per person.

Rustic Tent Site
$20 per night for sites with water and electricity
$10 per night for sites without water and electricity
(A shower house is provided for those in cabins and tents.)

Children $6.00 (ages 5 – 12) Younger children are free with adult meal purchase.
Tickets are required for all meals and are nonrefundable. Pre-order tickets by calling 540-672-1996 ext 232. If you have not purchased the tickets beforehand you can do so at registration, or at the cafeteria during mealtimes. Tickets must be purchased before Sabbath, no tickets will be provided during the Sabbath hours. We serve vegan meals, which may be prepared with nuts, nonirritating spices, herbs, and gluten. We can not cater to special diets.

Children/Youth
We offer programs for children and youth. Young people under 18 must have an adult take responsibility for their safety and behavior. Swimming, or playing in the lakes and ponds is prohibited. Bicycles and skateboards are prohibited. This is for everyone’s safety.

Q. Can I bring my pet?
A. Pets should be kept quiet and not allowed to roam freely. Pets are not allowed in any campus building. A special pet patch is located near the camping area. Please clean up after them.

Q. Will my valuables be safe?
A. Keep valuables locked in your car and not in your room. Hartland is NOT LIABLE for lost or stolen goods.

Q. Is there a dress code?
A. Remember that we are here to seek the Lord. Let us show reverence and
respect in our appearance. Shorts and tank tops are not appropriate for males or females. Ladies, please refrain from wearing miniskirts, pants of all sorts, plunging necklines, see-through fabrics, or any other immodest apparel.

Q. Can I do my own cooking?
A. Cooking or using electrical cooking appliances in any room on campus is prohibited by law. Open camp fires are not allowed, however camping stoves are acceptable for use in the Tent/RV site areas.

Featured Speakers:

Stephen Bohr presently serves as senior pastor of Fresno Central Seventh-day Adventist Church and also a speaker and director of Secrets Unsealed, a nonprofit organization committed to the preservation, proclamation, and proliferation of the present-truth message of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Twice a year, Stephen teaches the Foundations of Seventh-day Adventist Theology class at Amazing Facts College of Evangelism.

Christian Berdahl is a singer,speaker and director of Shepherd’s Call Ministry, which is dedicated to sharing the Three Angels’ Messages through music and media. Christian aims to sing and speak at as many churches, evangelistic meetings, and public places as possible before Jesus’ soon coming. His vision is to create expressly Christian content for TV, radio, and the internet to save, encourage, and challenge souls.
